Soleil develops "acrobatic ninja" battle game for PS4, Xbox One, PC

Bandai Namco Entertainment began streaming a battle mode introduction trailer on Thursday for the Naruto to Boruto Shinobi Striker video game. The video previews the game's online battle mode, and also previews playable characters such as Naruto, Kakashi, Pain, Sasuke, Itachi, Konan, Kisame, and Sakura.

Soleil, a subsidiary of Valhalla Game Studios, is developing the game. Weekly Shonen Jump magazine describes the game as an "acrobatic ninja battle" game. The game will have an online component, and players can form four-person cells in multiplayer to fight against another four-person cell for a total of eight players.

The game will arrive in Japan on the PlayStation 4, and in the West on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Bandai Namco Entertainment describes the game:

This new game is an online multiplayer game, where 8 shinobis face each other in heated 4-versus-4 battles! Featuring famous characters from the series, it uses a brand new graphic style with vivid color and a dynamic third-person view! Use the verticality of the maps to run on walls and reach the high to surprise your opponents!

The game has no set release date.
