Blazblue Cross Tag Battle crosses over Blazblue, UNIB, Persona 4, RWBY

After the Blazblue: CentralFiction grand finals at the Evolution Championship Series 2017 tournament on Sunday, Arc System Works announced that it is developing a new crossover fighting game titled Blazblue Cross Tag Battle, and introduced the Jubei character for the Blazblue: CentralFiction game.

Blazblue Cross Tag Battle is a crossover between the Arc System Works' Blazblue and Persona 4 Arena fighting games, as well as French Bread's Under Night In-Birth game. It also includes characters from Rooster Teeth's RWBY franchise. The title is a two-versus-two game, and Arc System Works is planning to release it next year.

The teaser shows Ragna the Bloodedge and Jin Kisaragi from Blazblue, Yū Narukami from Persona 4 Arena, HYDE from Under Night In-Birth, and Ruby Rose from RWBY.

Jubei is slated for release as DLC in Blazblue: CentralFiction this summer. In the game's story, Jubei is one of the game's Six Heroes which are pivotal to the game's backstory, and the master of main character Ragna. Jubei is the last of the Six Heroes to become a playable character in the game series.

Blazblue: CentralFiction originally debuted in Japanese arcades in November 2015, and the game launched in Japan for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 last October. Aksys Games released the game in North America last November.

Arc System Works will release the home console version of the Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st] game in Japan on Thursday on the PS4, and Aksys Games will release it overseas in late 2017. The game will also be available for download on PS4, PS3, and PS Vita on the same day.

Arc System Works developed the original Persona 4 Arena and released it in arcades in Japan in 2012. The game contains characters from Atlus' Persona 4 and Persona 3 role-playing games. The game shipped for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in Japan in 2012, and in the West in 2013. Arc System Works released a sequel titled Persona 4 Arena Ultimax in Japan in 2013, and in the West in 2014.
