Chester Bennington, the lead singer of rock band Linkin Park, passed away on Thursday. He was 41. He is survived by his wife Talinda Bentley, and six children.

The singer was found dead in his home near Los Angeles. The Los Angeles County coroner's office stated that the authorities are investigating the death as a possible suicide.

Since the release of Linkin Park's hit album Hybrid Theory in 2000, fans have used many of the band's songs for fan-made anime music videos (AMV).

In 2004, Studio Gonzo animated the music video for the band's "Breaking the Habit" song. Kazuto Nakazawa supervised the animation. The music video won the 2004 MTV VMA Viewer's Choice Award. The band has also contributed songs to several of the Hollywood Transformers films.

Bennington released seven albums with Linkin Park. The most recent album, One More Light, launched in May.
