BD set slated for October 31

Aniplex of America began streaming an English dub trailer for its English-dubbed version of Anohana. It showcases the voice acting of the main characters, including Griffin Burns (Jinta "Jintan" Yadomi), Xanthe Huynh (Meiko "Menma" Honma), Erica Lindbeck (Naruko "Anaru" Anjo), Ray Chase (Atsumu "Yukiatsu" Matsuyuki), Erica Mendez (Chiriko "Tsuruko" Tsurumi), and Kaiji Tang (Tetsudo "Poppo" Hisakawa). The company screened the trailer at its Otakon panel on Friday.

Additionally, the trailer revealed that the complete Blu-ray Disc box set will launch on October 31. The set will include a 60-page booklet, rigid box, package illustrated by Masayoshi Tanaka, and English dub bloopers and commentary. The company also premiered the dub during a panel at this year's Anime Expo convention in July.

The 2011 television anime followed several childhood friends who try to reconnect in high school, after drifting apart due to tragedy five years earlier. It inspired a manga, a 2013 film sequel, and a 2015 live-action special.

NIS America licensed and released the television anime in 2012 and again in 2013. Aniplex of America partnered with Eleven Arts to screen the film in theaters in the United States, and then released the film on Blu-ray Disc and DVD. Crunchyroll streamed the anime in 2012 and also streamed the live-action special.
