Voice Actor Nobuyuki Furuta Passes Away at 59

Dubbed Heroes' Matt Parkman, voiced Vifam's Sid Muhrer & Yū Yū Hakusho's Sakyou
Voice actor Nobuyuki Furuta passed away at 8:10 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29 at a Kawasaki City hospital due to a ruptured aneurysm in his bronchial arteries. He was 59. His agency Kenyu Office made the announcement on Wednesday. His wife will lead the funeral services on September 3 at a Tokyo temple.
Furuta was born in Kanagawa Prefecture. He is best known for voicing the telepathic police officer Matt Parkman in the Japanese dub of the American live-action television series Heroes. He also voiced Sid Muhrer in Ginga Hyōryū Vifam and Sakyou in Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files.
