Sega Announces Shin Megami Tensei Smartphone Game Collaboration

D×2 Shin Megami Tensei Revelation in development

Sega Games' teaser website for a new title revealed a collaboration with the Shin Megami Tensei franchise on Thursday. The project is a smartphone game titled D×2 Shin Megami Tensei Revelation.

Sega is developing the game for iOS and Android based on Atlus' franchise. More details will be announced at Tokyo Game Show 2017 on September 21.

A teaser video debuted on the Akihabara UDX Vision screen in Tokyo on Thursday. In addition to the character silhouettes that are on the website, the video shows silhouettes that appear to be Jack Frost and Thor from Shin Megami Tensei.

Atlus announced its 25th anniversary project for the Shin Megami Tensei video game series in January. As part of the project, the company plans to release Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux, an Nintendo 3DS remake of the Nintendo DS game Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, on October 26 in Japan. Atlus USA will release the game in North America in early 2018.

Atlus is also developing a Shin Megami Tensei game for the Nintendo Switch platform as part of the anniversary project.
