Anime premieres on October 4, Crunchyroll to stream series

Crunchyroll began streaming an English-subtitled promotional video for the television anime of Sakuya Amano's Konohana Kitan manga on Wednesday. The video is an English-subtitled version of the anime's first promotional video, which the anime's official website streamed in August.

The anime's official website previously streamed another promotional video earlier this month.

The series will premiere on AT-X on October 4 at 8:00 p.m., and later the same evening on Tokyo MX. The show will also air the following night on BS11 and on Kansai TV. Crunchyroll will stream the series as it airs in Japan, and it describes the show:

Konohana Kitan is the heartwarming story of a new apprentice named Yuzu, and the other fox girls who work at a hot spring hotel called Konohatei. The staff at Konohatei live by one belief: no matter who one may truly be, no matter what, anyone who is a guest is a god. Of course, that includes you. Let the hospitality of Yuzu and the Konohatei heal your tired soul.

The cast, from left to right in the image above, includes:

Hideki Okamoto (Nagasarete Airantou, Nana to Kaoru, D.C. II: Da Capo II) is directing the series at Lerche. Takao Yoshioka (WATAMOTE, Ikki Tousen, Elfen Lied) is handling the series composition, and Keiko Kurosawa (Scum's Wish, Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle) is the character designer. eufonius' is performing the opening theme song "Kokoro ni Tsubomi" (Bud in the Heart).

The manga originates from Amano's earlier Konohana-tei Kitan manga, which launched in Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime S magazine in 2009. Amano put the manga on hiatus in 2010. Four years later, Amano relaunched the manga with the new Konohana Kitan title in Gentosha's Comic Birz magazine. Gentosha published the manga's sixth volume on September 23.
