Sony Interactive Entertainment President Andrew House Steps Down

John Kodera appointed as new president; House remains as Chairman of SIE to facilitate transition

Sony Interactive Entertainment announced on Monday that its President and Global Chief Executive Officer Andrew House has stepped down from the position, while John (Tsuyoshi) Kodera, the current Deputy President, has been appointed the new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Kodera is now also Representative Director and President of Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc., SIE's Japan-based legal entity. In his new position, Kodera will report directly to Sony Corporation President and CEO Kazuo Hirai.

Andrew House will remain as Chairman of Sony Interactive Entertainment "through the year to ensure a smooth transition." House is also stepping down from his role as Executive Vice President, Corporate Executive Officer of Sony Corporation.
