Voltron Legendary Defender Show's Season 4 Clip Previews Lotor's Plan

4th season premieres on Friday

The official website of the Entertainment Weekly magazine began streaming a clip from the fourth season of DreamWorks' Voltron: Legendary Defender animated series on Sunday. The clip previews Prince Lotor's plan to travel between realities to collect quintessence.

The official Twitter account of the show also confirmed that the character Kaltenecker will return for the fourth season.

The new season will premiere on Friday, October 13. Netflix describes the fourth season:

With Shiro back at the Castleship, Keith makes a choice that causes a rift between him and Team Voltron. As Allura and team focus on building the Voltron Coalition, Prince Lotor's plans start to take shape.

The show's third season of seven episodes premiered on August 4. The 13-episode second season premiered on Netflix on January 20. The show's 11-episode first season premiered on Netflix in June 2016, and features the following voice cast:


A.J. Locascio joined the show's cast for the third season as Prince Lotor.

The character known as Sven in the first Voltron television series was originally named Takashi Shirogane in King of Beasts Golion, the original anime series that was adapted as Voltron.

Studio Mir (The Legend of Korra) animated the first season. Joaquim Dos Santos, Lauren Montgomery, and Tim Hedrick all worked together on Avatar the Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra.
