1st print edition of game includes digital dice adventure gamebook DLC

Atlus announced on Tuesday that it has delayed its release of Vanillaware's Dragon's Crown Pro PlayStation 4 game from January 25 to February 8.

Atlus also revealed that first-print editions of the game will include a code for a digital gamebook DLC titled "Akuryō-shima no Hihō" (The Treasure of the Isle of Evil Spirits). The gamebook allows players to choose one of the game's six adventurers and use dice to resolve conflict and progress the story in an attempt to find a treasure in an island, battling monsters and evading traps along the way.

The game is a PS4 version of Vanillaware's Dragon's Crown game. The game will support 4K resolution, and will have a re-recorded fully orchestral soundtrack. In addition, Dragon's Crown Pro will be cross-play compatible with the original Dragon's Crown PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita games.

The game will also get a "Royal Package" release in Japan that will include a soundtrack with the new orchestral recording, a booklet with liner notes about the soundtrack, two digital art books, and a PS4 menu theme.

Vanillaware and Atlus released the original "2D action RPG" in Japan in July 2013 and in North America in August 2013.

Udon Entertainment licensed yuztan's manga adaptation of the game, and will ship the first volume in November.
