Live-Action Tsumasaki no Uchū Film's Trailer Previews Nodoka Kirishima Theme Song

Film opens gradually in Japan beginning in November

The official website for live-action film adaptation of manni's Tsumasaki no Uchū (Tiptoe Universe) manga began streaming a trailer for the film on Sunday. The trailer reveals and previews the film's theme song "Kotoba ni Shitakute Dekinai Kotoba o" (Words That I Want to Say But Can't) by Nodoka Kirishima, who is also performing the lead role in the film. The trailer reveals that the film will open gradually in theaters in Japan beginning in November.

Singer-songwriter Nodoka Kirishima is playing protagonist Aki Yoshikawa, while Ryō Kitamura is playing Anji, Aki's senior co-worker at her part-time job. Other cast members include Mami Kamura as Yumeko, Aki's co-worker at her part-time job, and Reina Visa as Tomoko, Aki's close friend and the shop owner's younger sister. Tomoki Hirose is playing Yū, manager of the karaoke club where Aki and Anji work, and Kaori Nazuka is playing Shiori, a radio personality and Yū's former girlfriend.

The manga's story centers on Aki, who has cut off her relationships with other people. The themes of the series are past, the voice of the heart, and growth. An incident with Aki's friends in the past and her relationship with her parents cause her to become unable to express herself in words. Aki's withdrawn life begins to change little by little after she meets coworkers at her part-time job.

Akihisa Yachida is directing the film, and Shinichi Nomura is writing the script. The pair previously worked together on the Mama wa Nihon e Yome ni Iccha Dame to Iu Keredo. live-action film and Haikei, Minpaku-sama. live-action television series.

Manni launched the manga on the free manga and novel app Comico in 2015, and the 128th chapter debuted on Sunday.
