Chrono Trigger's Yasunori Mitsuda composes for new episode launching December 13

Square Enix unveiled its "Episode Ignis" DLC for Final Fantasy XV with a video during Sony's Paris Game's Week presentation on Monday. The episode will launch on December 13.

The episode is the third in a series of stories focusing on each of the main characters of Final Fantasy XV. In Ignis' story, he faces the Niflheim Empire to protect Noctis after the Trial of Leviathan. He is joined by the Niflheim Empire's high commander Ravus, who seeks to rescue his sister Lunafreya.

Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger, Xenogears) composed the music for "Episode Ignis." Like the first two episodes, the new episode features a new guest composer. In his video message below, Mitsuda says he thinks it has been about 18 years since he last worked with Square Enix, and this is his first time working on a Final Fantasy title.

Square Enix released "Episode Gladiolus" on March 28 and "Episode Prompto" on June 17. Final Fantasy XV went on sale worldwide for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 29.
