PS Vita game slated for release in Japan on December 7

The official website for Neo Angelique: Tenshi no Namida, the newest game in KOEI Tecmo's Neo Angelique game series, began streaming four gameplay videos on Friday.

The "Lookalikes" video shows the protagonist Angelique meeting new character Camille, who looks a lot like her.

The "Meeting Again" video shows Angelique meeting Rayne again after a long time.

The "New Mansion" trailer shows Nyx and J.D. offering Angelique a room at the mansion they live at, and Rayne also asking to stay there.

The "Population Increase Problem" video shows Angelique discussing the town's increased population with Hyuga, Rayne, Rene, Nyx, Bernard, and J.D.

The game is slated for release in Japan for the PlayStation Vita on December 7. Developer Ruby Party is developing the game with cooperation from Idea Factory subsidiary Otomate (Amnesia, Diabolik Lovers, Norn9). It was previously slated for a 2016 release.

The Neo Angelique series is a spinoff of Ruby Party's Angelique series of games, which is itself part of KOEI Tecmo and Ruby Party's Neo Romance game series, which includes Angelique, Harukanaru Toki no Naka de, Kin-iro no Corda, and Geten no Hana. The Angelique series has been adapted into four OVA episodes from 2001 to 2004, as well as two television anime: Koi Suru Tenshi Angelique: Kokoro no Mezameru Toki (which premiered in 2006) and Koi Suru Tenshi Angelique: Kagayaki no Ashita (which premiered in 2007).

The Neo Angelique series has been adapted into two seasons of a television anime, Neo Angelique Abyss, and Neo Angelique Abyss -Second Age-, which both premiered in 2008. Crunchyroll streamed the series. Sentai Filmworks released both series on DVD in North America in 2010.

Angelique Retour, the latest game in the series and a remake of the original 1994 game, shipped for the PS Vita in December 2015.
