Sexual Tezuka film screening at 9 p.m.

London's Barbican Centre will hold screening of Cleopatra, Queen of Sex on December 2 at 9 p.m.

Released by Mushi Production in 1970, Cleopatra, Queen of Sex was co-directed by Osamu Tezuka and Eiichi Yamamoto. The story combines science-fiction, comedy and sexual content. In the film's story, three people from the future are spiritually sent back in time to relive the era of Caesar, Marc Anthony and Cleopatra. As close companions to these key historical figures, they seek to understand the nature of an enemy's plan in their own time. It is part of the Animerama trilogy of Mushi Pro films with adult sexual content.

The screening is part of the London International Animation Festival at the Barbican from December 1 to 10. It includes several programmes of short films, some by Japanese artists; one children's programme (only for adults with children) includes a short film by Takashi Miike (Ichi the Killer) about a dung beetle, called Keep on Rolling.
