New manga by Gantz, Inuyashiki creator launched on Friday

Shogakukan began streaming a promotional video on Friday for GIGANT, Hiroya Oku's new manga that launched in the January issue of Shogakukan's Big Comic Superior magazine on Friday. Kōtarō Nishiyama narrates the video. Art from the manga adorns the front cover of the issue.

The manga's story centers on Yamada Yoko, a high school boy who has a movie producer father. One day, while out with friends to shoot a film that he plans to enter into a film festival, a poster of Papiko, an adult video actress with big breasts, catches his eye.

Oku ended his Inuyashiki manga series in its 10th volume on September 22. Kodansha Comics is publishing the manga in North America in print, and Crunchyroll released the series digitally. The manga's anime adaptation premiered on October 12. The series is streaming on Amazon's Anime Strike service. The manga is also inspiring a live-action film in 2018.
