Chivalry of a Failed Knight's Won to illustrate new series

The official Twitter account for Mikage Kasuga's Oda Nobuna no Yabō (The Ambition of Oda Nobuna) light novel series revealed on Sunday that Kasuga will launch a new novel series in 2018 based on the Chinese classic The Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Won (Chivalry of a Failed Knight) is illustrating the series.

Another post describes the new series as a romantic comedy, and notes that the March 2018 issue of Kadokawa's Dragon Magazine will reveal more details in January.

Mikage launched the Oda Nobuna no Yabō light novel series in 2009, and Kadokawa published the series' 19th volume on September 20. The novels inspired a television anime adaptation in 2012. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan, and Sentai Filmworks released the series on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in 2014 with an English dub.

The novels also inspired a manga adaptation by Shigure Aoba that ran in Kadokawa's Comp Ace magazine from 2011 to 2014, and had six compiled book volumes. It also inspired Futago Minazuki's spinoff manga titled Oda Nobuna no Yabō: Hime-sama to Issho (Oda Nobuna's Ambition: With the Princess), which ran in Kadokawa's Age Premium digital comic magazine from 2011 to 2012, and had two volumes.
