Doraemon Anime Gets 1-Hour Special on New Year's Eve

Doraemon, Crayon Shin-chan collaboration special to also air on January 7

The Doraemon television anime series will air a one-hour special on New Year's Eve. The special will feature the a story centered on Chinese astrology titled "Jūnishi Henshin Saikoro" (12 Signs of the Chinese Zodiac Transformation Dice), as well as the "first dream of the year"-themed "Yume no Channel" (Dream Channel) story. In addition, the special will air a repeat of the 2007 episode "Typhoon no Fūko." The special will air from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Another special, a collaboration between Doraemon and Crayon Shin-chan, will air on January 7. The "Doraemon Crayon Shin-chan 2018 Winter Anime Festival" special will air the new "Kami-sama Robot ni Ai no Te wo!" (The Beloved Hand of the Robot God) and "Enpitsu de Ōkanemochi" (The Rich Person's Pencil) episodes from Doraemon, and the 2009 Doraemon episode "Nobisaemon no Hihō" (Nobisaemon's Treasure). The special will air from 10:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m.

Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Takarajima (Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Treasure Island), the Doraemon franchise's 38th film, will open in Japan on March 3.

Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Bakumori! Kung-Fu Boys ~Ramen Tairan~ (Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Bakumori! Kung-Fu Boys Ramen Rebellion), the Crayon Shin-chan franchise's 26th anime film, will open in Japan on April 13.
