The Japanese Nintendo Direct mini presentation revealed on Thursday that the game will ship in Japan this summer for 6,980 yen (about US$63). It will get physical and digital editions.
NIS America will release the PC version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA worldwide on January 30, 2018. The PC release will include its updated localization, featuring a largely rewritten script and rerecorded lines. The localization patch for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita versions will launch on the same day.
Nihon Falcom released the game in Japan in May 2017 and NIS America released the game for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in North America and Europe in September 2017. The game will also get a PC release but it has been delayed to coincide with the release of the patch.
