Persona 4 Manga Planned to End in 13th Volume

11th volume in series based on Atlus' RPG shipped on Saturday

Shuji Sogabe revealed in the author notes of the 11th volume of his Persona 4 manga on Saturday that he will "probably" end the manga in the 13th volume. The 10th volume of the manga had teased in July 2015 that the manga was approaching its climax.

North American publisher Udon Entertainment is releasing the manga in English, and it describes the story:

When the small rural town of Inaba suddenly becomes the scene of a series of grisly murders, an eclectic group of high school students forms an investigation team to uncover the truth behind them and prevent more deaths. But when they discover that the murders might be connected to an urban legend about a paranormal television phenomenon called the “Midnight Channel,” a simple investigation turns into a dangerous, action-packed journey of self-discovery across two different worlds. Along the way, dark truths will shake our heroes to their very core – and help them discover an inner strength they never knew they had!

Sogabe launched the manga in ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Black Maoh magazine in 2008, the same year that the game debuted. Udon Entertainment released the manga's sixth compiled volume in March 2017. Sogabe also drew the Persona 3 game's manga adaptation, which ended serialization in January 2017. The manga's 11th and final volume shipped in February 2017.
