Spinoff of Ritz Kobayashi's Saki mahjong manga launched in 2011

Online bookstore Honya Club is listing the seventh compiled book volume of Saya Kiyoshi's Saki Biyori spinoff manga as the last volume in the series. The seventh volume will ship on March 24.

The manga is a four-panel manga spinoff of Ritz Kobayashi's Saki manga series. Kiyoshi has been drawing Saki Biyori in Square Enix's Young Gangan (and later Monthly Big Gangan) since 2011. Square Enix published the manga's sixth compiled book volume in December 2016. It inspired an anime DVD in 2015.

Kobayashi launched the original Saki manga in Young Gangan magazine in 2006. The manga has since inspired five spinoff manga series, including Saki Biyori.

The original manga inspired a 25-episode television series in 2009, and another television anime project titled Saki - The Nationals launched in 2014.

The live-action television adaptation of the original Saki manga debuted in December 2016, followed by a live-action film in February 2017. A live-action series adaptation of the Saki Achiga-hen episode of side-A spinoff manga premiered last December, followed by a live-action film on January 20.
