Memories Off -Innocent Fille- Game's Opening Video Previews Theme Song

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
PS4/Vita/PC game ships with Ayane's themes on March 29

The official website for the Memories Off game series began streaming the opening video for the Memories Off -Innocent Fille- game on Friday. The video previews the game's theme song "Resilience" performed by Ayane.

Ayane is returning from previous games to perform the opening and ending theme songs for the game. MAGES. head Chiyomaru Shikura is writing the songs' lyrics and composing the music.

The game will ship for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC via Steam in Japan on March 29.

The regular physical version of the love adventure game will cost 7,800 yen (about US$72), and the digital version will cost 7,000 yen (US$65). The limited edition will cost 9,800 yen (US$91). The "Last Memories Set" version will also be available for PS4 and PS Vita for 50,000 yen (US$465). The set will bundle a "Sound Collection" soundtrack CD, design material collection, 250-page illustration collection, complete soundtrack on three DVDs, and a ticket for a hand-signed illustration by Mutsumi Sasaki or Yukihiro Matsuo.

Shikura revealed the game with a promotional video last September. Staff members are returning from previous games. Shikura also teased that the new game will feature returning characters.

Memories Off game series producer Tario Shibata had said in 2013 that he was hoping to release a new game for the franchise in 2014. The most recent release in the series is a port of the Memories Off 6 ~T-wave~, Memories Off 6 Next Relation, and Memories Off Yubikiri no Kioku games that shipped for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in 2013. 5pb. released Memories Off Yubikiri no Kioku, the most recent game in the main series, for Xbox 360 in 2010 and for PlayStation Portable in 2011.

KID developed the original Memories Off romance visual novel that debuted for PlayStation in 1999. KID declared bankruptcy in 2006, and CyberFront took over series development. 5pb. then acquired the rights to the game series from CyberFront in 2007. 5pb. and several other companies merged under the parent company MAGES. in 2011.

The game series has inspired five original video anime (OVA). Memories Off #5 Togireta Film, the most recent OVA in the series, debuted in 2006.
