Satoshi Yoshida Launches Arakure Knight: Remember Tomorrow Manga

Newest installment in manga franchise about motorcycle gangs launches on March 13

This year's sixth issue of Akita Shoten's Young Champion magazine revealed on Tuesday that Satoshi Yoshida will launch a new manga installment in his Arakure Knight series titled Arakure Knight: Remember Tomorrow in the magazine's next issue on March 13. The manga will feature on the issue's front cover, and will have a color opening page. The first chapter will have 26 pages.

The manga franchise centers around delinquent Haruma Yūki, who seeks to join the motorcycle gang Linda. The manga shows the efforts of Haruma to join the gang, while also following the activities of Linda and its leader Zenba as they clash with rival motorcycle gangs.

The original Arakure Knight manga ran in Akita Shoten's Young King magazine from 1995 to 2005. The Arakure Knight: Kōkō Bakusō-hen manga then followed, and then the Arakure Knight: Kuroi Zankyō Kanketsu-hen manga (pictured at right). Arakure Knight: Kuroi Zankyō Kanketsu-hen ended in February 2016.

The manga inspired the Shin Shōnan Bakusōzoku Arakure Knight OVA in 1997 (while the OVA is titled after Yoshida's earlier Shōnan Bakusōzoku manga, the Arakure Knight series is only an homage to the earlier title, and their stories are not connected), and also inspired two live-action films in 2007.

Yoshida's Sono Takusan ga Ai na no ka. manga launched in Big Comic in February 2017. Shogakukan published the manga's second volume last December. Yoshida also published a one-shot manga of Shōnan Bakusōzoku last November as a spinoff of Sono Takusan ga Ai na no ka.
