The official website for Yuri Fair (Yuriten) 2018 announced on Friday that the yuri-themed exhibition will move to the Light Box Studio Aoyama venue in Tokyo from April 28 to May 4. The event was originally scheduled for Tokyo's Ikebukuro Marui department store from March 17 to March 25, but the organizers announced that venue's cancellation five days before its planned opening.
The fair organizers previously explained that it would have been difficult for all participating creators to display and sell their works at Ikebukuro Marui, so they decided to cancel the event there. One of the creators, the photographer Yuria whose motif is female thighs, would have held "The World of Thigh Photos Exhibit 2018 at Ikebukuro Marui" from March 9 to March 26. However, that exhibit was cancelled "due to various circumstances" as well.
The Yuriten fair is still going to Osaka's Namba Parks complex from March 31 to April 8. The fair also plans to go to Fukuoka in mid-April, although the event's website states that the details of this stop are still forthcoming.
Last year's event in the same Ikebukuro Marui venue had offered the first indications for an anime adaptation of Hiromi Takashima's Kase-san and... yuri manga series — before the Kase-san and Morning Glories net animation clip was officially announced, and before the full Kase-san and Morning Glories original video anime was announced. This year's main visual features an illustration by Canno (Kiss and White Lily for My Dearest Girl) and a picture by photographer Keisuke Hasegawa.
