Aniplus-Asia announced on Monday that it will air a simulcast of the Steins;Gate 0 anime. The anime will premiere on Thursday at 2:30 a.m. GMT +8, and it will air an encore every Thursday at 11:00 p.m.

Retailers Sofmap and Neowing are listing the series with 23 broadcast episodes and one unaired episode that will ship on home video.

The anime's returning cast includes:

Mamoru Miyano as Rintarō Okabe

Kana Hanazawa as Mayuri Shiina

Tomokazu Seki as Itaru "Daru" Hashida

Asami Imai as Kurisu Makise

Saori Gotō as Moeka Kiryū

Yū Kobayashi as Luka Urushibara

Halko Momoi as Faris Nyan-nyan

Yukari Tamura as Suzuha Amane

Sayuri Yahagi as Maho Hiyajō

Megumi Han as Kagari Shiina

The following four characters above are making their anime debut in the upcoming series, and the cast are reprising their roles from the Steins;Gate 0 game.

Mariko Honda as Katsumi Nakase

Hina Kino as Kaede Kurushima

Yōji Ueda as Alexis Leskinen

Maya Nishimura as Judy Reyes

The anime adapts the game of the same name, and all of the cast members are reprising their roles from previous games and anime.

Kenichi Kawamura (Qualidea Code, SoniAni: Super Sonico the Animation) is directing the anime at WHITE FOX (Girls' Last Tour, Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-). Jukki Hanada (Love Live! Sunshine!!, Nichijō) is returning from the previous anime to be in charge of series composition. Tomoshige Inayoshi (Buddy Complex, Battle Spirits: Sword Eyes), who was an episode animation director for the first television anime, is designing the characters based on huke's original designs.

Kanako Itou is singing the opening theme song "Fatima," and Rock band Zwei is performing the ending theme song "Last Game."

Steins;Gate 0, a follow-up game to the original Steins;Gate game, was initially announced in March 2015 with an anime adaptation in the works, but no details on the anime had been announced since. A previous rebroadcast of the original Steins;Gate anime took an alternate route toward the Steins;Gate 0 story in December 2015, the same month the game debuted in Japan. PQube released the Steins;Gate 0 game for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in North America and Europe in November 2016. Spike Chunsoft will release the game for PC via Steam on May 8.

Set in Tokyo's Akihabara district, the original game follows Rintarō Okabe as he changes fate by traveling between different world lines. The game inspired a 2011 television anime, as well as the Steins;Gate – The Movie – Load Region of Déjà Vu sequel, and the Steins;Gate 0 game. The game franchise has more than 1 million copies in print.
