Anime Limited has annnounced that it has acquired the home video and streaming rights to Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory, the fourth television anime series in the Full Metal Panic! franchise.

The series will be streamed to the UK and Ireland this Spring through Crunchyroll. Regarding the home release, Anime Limited says, 'We have no time frame on when this may be available, but at best we would don't expect to hear anything until midway through 2019 at the earliest.'

The company adds, "We've some fun plans in the works to celebrate the Full Metal Panic! franchise this year... There might be some more Full Metal Panic! related news coming soon."

Crunchyroll will stream the series with English subtitles. The series is listed with 12 episodes.

Anime Limited describes the story:

Full Metal Panic! returns with a brand-new, action-packed series, continuing from the events of The Second Raid.

"Invisible Victory finds Sagara Sousuke and his colleagues at “Mithril” under fierce attack at their bases around the globe from a rival organisation known as “Amalgam”. While Sousuke and Kaname face new tests thanks to a dangerous threat on their home turf in Japan, Merida Island and Mithril's flagship submarine, the Tuatha de Danaan, both come under fierce and concerted attack themselves.

"The series is written by original Full Metal Panic! author Shouji Gatou, with production handled by animation studio Xebec. The series is directed by Katsuichi Nakayama (planetarian, assistant director Evangelion 2.0 and 3.0), while the series' character designer Osamu Horiuchi returns to his role for the new series.”

Katsuichi Nakayama (series director for planetarian, assistant director for Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo, Bodacious Space Pirates The Movie: Abyss of Hyperspace) is directing the series at studio XEBEC. Osamu Horiuchi (Full Metal Panic!, Full Metal Panic! Additionally, Takeshi Yoshioka (chief animation director for Classroom Crisis, Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid-) is the small arms designer and animation director, Kanetake Ebikawa (Full Metal Panic!, Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid) and Toshiaki Ihara (Full Metal Panic!, Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid) are the mechanical designers, Takayuki Yanase (Ghost in the Shell Arise, Gundam 00 mechanical designer) is the set designer, and Masanori Nishii (Star Blazers 2199) is the mechanical director.
