NIS America discovers issue with game that will take time to resolve

NIS America announced on Wednesday that it will delay its release of the Disgaea 5 Complete game for the PC to summer 2018, after it discovered an issue with the game that will take time to resolve. The game was originally slated to release via Steam on May 7.

The game will include English and Japanese audio and English and French text options.

The game will include all eight bonus scenarios, four "fan-favorite" characters, and three new character classes that NISA originally released as DLC in Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance, the PlayStation 4 version of the game. Those who have Disgaea 2 PC will also receive four new weapons.

NISA describes the game's story:

Disgaea 5 Complete tells a tale of revenge and rebellion. As a new and terrible Overlord named Void Dark seeks to enslave the countless Netherworlds, one young demon has stood to end his reign—Killia. In Disgaea 5 Complete, lead Killia and his tenacious army of rebels on their dark and dangerous path to vengeance. Filled with more over-the-top action and hilarious writing than ever before, Disgaea 5 Complete's damage numbers are surely headed for the record books.

Nippon Ichi Software originally created the game for PlayStation 4, and released it in Japan in March 2015, and in North America in October 2015. NIS then released Disgaea 5 Complete for the Nintendo Switch in Japan in March 2017, and NISA released the game in North America and Europe last May in both physical and digital versions.
