Angolmois Historical TV Anime Reveals 9 More Cast Members

Straightener, SHE'S perform theme songs

The official website for the television anime of Nanahiko Takagi's Angolmois: Genkō Kassen-ki manga revealed nine more cast members and character designs on Tuesday.

The new cast members are:

Rikiya Koyama as Onitakemaru

Kenji Nomura as Shiraishi Kazuhisa

Shirō Saitō as Chōminpuku

Shun Horie as Amushi

Ryōta Takeuchi as Hitari

Yūsuke Kobayashi as Dōen

Kenji Hamada as Obusuma Saburō

Hidekatsu Shibata as Sō Sukekuni

Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Abiru Yajirō

The website also revealed that the band Straightener will perform the anime's opening theme song, and the band SHE'S will perform the ending theme song for the anime.

The anime will premiere in July.

The anime stars:

Yūki Ono as Kuchii Jinzaburō, a Kamakura samurai who was exiled after some incident.

Lynn as Teruhi, the leader Sō Sukekuni's daughter with beauty that anyone finds captivating. She heads into the battlefield, wielding her own bow.

Takayuki Kuriyama (episode director on Re:CREATORS) is directing at NAZ. Shogo Yasukawa (Chivalry of a Failed Knight, Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma) is in charge of the series scripts. Masayori Komine (animation director on Macross Frontier: Sayonara no Tsubasa, DRAMAtical Murder) is serving as both as character designer and chief animation director. Kumiko Habara (episode director on Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal II, Battle Spirits Burning Soul) is serving as assistant director.

The traditional historical epic adventure centers around a samurai defending Japan against the first Mongol invasion of 1274.

The manga debuted in Kadokawa's Samurai Ace magazine in 2013, and moved in 2014 onto Kadokawa's ComicWalker app. Kadokawa published the ninth compiled book volume on March 26.
