Hakusensha's Young Animal Arashi Magazine Ends

Publisher launches Young Animal Resistance, Harem magazines

This year's seventh issue of Hakusensha's Young Animal Arashi announced on Friday that the seventh issue is the final issue. Hakusensha will launch a new magazine tentatively titled Young Animal Resistance that will carry on the Young Animal "genes" and center on "fighting" seinen manga. The new magazine will launch at the end of this year. Hakusensha will also launch a new adult-oriented digital magazine titled Harem in September.

The first six manga listed above will move to Young Animal in this year's 14th issue on July 13. The magazine's 15th issue will publish the final installment of Jikyō!! Izumi-kun no Koi Moyō on July 27. Kentō Ankokuden Cestvs will debut in the magazine later. Mai Ball! will move to Hakusensha's Manga Park app and website on July 6.

Harem will focus on erotic and ecchi titles. Aki Katsu (Futari H), Ryuta Amazume (Nana to Kaoru), Ena Moriyama (Kono Ai wa, Itan.), and Akira Kiduki and Nanki Satō (Usotsuki Paradox) will contribute works to the digital magazine.

Young Animal Arashi launched in 2000 and published manga such as Uran's Paradise of Innocence, Hitoshi Iwaaki's Heureka, Kyūjo Matsumoto's Motoyome, Makoto Katayama's Schaferhund, and Ena Moriyama's Monte Cristo Hakushaku. Series such as Ryuta Amazume's Nana to Kaoru and Hideaki Nishikawa's Shokugyo Koroshiya previously moved from Young Animal Arashi to Young Animal, and both magazine's published Aki Katsu's Futari H simultaneously.
