Anime Expo to Host Manga Artist Go Nagai

Cutie Honey, Devilman, Mazinger Z creator to attend July event

Anime Expo announced on Friday that it will host manga artist and author Go Nagai at this year's event. He will appear at a panel on Saturday, July 7 to discuss Cutie Honey Universe.

Nagai debuted as a manga artist in 1967 with Meakashi Polikichi and went on to create many classic and genre-defining works, including Cutie Honey, Devilman, Mazinger Z, Getter Robo, and Harenchi Gakuen. In recent years, he has continued to pen new spinoffs, such as his ongoing Devilman Saga manga. He has also serialized the autobiographical Gekiman! manga about the creation of his various notable titles.

This year's Anime Expo will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from July 5 to July 8, with a pre-show event on July 4.
