Soul Calibur VI Trailer Reveals October 19 Release

Collector's edition contents revealed

Bandai Namco Entertainment America began streaming a new trailer for its Soul Calibur VI fighting game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Tuesday. The video reveals that the game is slated to launch on October 19 in the Americas and Europe.

Bandai Namco Entertainment is also streaming the same video in Japanese, revealing an October 18 release in Japan.

The North American collector's edition will include a 120-page artbook, 12-inch Sophitia figure, metal case with soundbox, and the soundtrack on CD. The North American deluxe edition will include the soundtrack CD, metal case with soundbox, and a DLC season pass. The European collector's edition will include the figure, DLC season pass, and a digital soundtrack.

Confirmed playable characters include Mitsurugi, Sophitia, Grøh, Nightmare, Xianghua, Kilik, Ivy, Zasalamel, Siegfried, The Witcher's Geralt of Rivia, Taki, Yoshimitsu, and Maxi.

The Soul Calibur series began with the Soul Blade game in 1995. The 3D fighter features characters who all utilize weapons in combat. The previous main installment in the series, Soul Calibur V, shipped for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2012.
