Sora wo Kakeru Yodaka Live-Action Series' Trailer, Visual Unveiled

The official website for the live-action series adaptation of Shiki Kawabata's Sora wo Kakeru Yodaka manga unveiled a trailer and a poster visual for the series on Thursday. The trailer reveals and previews the series' theme song "Akatsuki" by Johnny's West, and also reveals the series' August 1 debut date on Netflix.
The site also revealed additional cast members. Megumi Seki will play Mao Ukon, and Shōko Nakajima will play Kyōko Umine.
The anime stars: (Clockwise from upper left)
- Daiki Shigeoka as Shunpei Kaga, a popular boy in class
- Tomohiro Kamiyama as Kōshirō Mizumoto, Ayumi's boyfriend
- Miu Tomita as Zenko Umine
- Kaya Kiyohara as Ayumi Kohinata
Hiroaki Mitsuyama is producing the six-episode series, Michitaka Okada is writing the scripts, and Ken Arai is composing the music.
The series centers on Ayumi Kohinata, a first-year high school student who has a cute and shy personality. She's excited that she just started dating her first boyfriend, but on the day of their first date, she gets a mysterious call from her classmate Zenko Umine. Zenko says she's going to die, and Ayumi witnesses Zenko jumping from a building. The next thing she knows, Ayumi wakes up in a hospital, but in Zenko's body.
Kawabata published the manga in Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret magazine, and Shueisha published the third and final volume in December 2015.
