Montreal's Otakuthon Hosts CyberConnect2 President Hiroshi Matsuyama

Convention takes place on August 3-5

Montreal convention Otakuthon announced on Thursday that it will host CyberConnect2 president and director Hiroshi Matsuyama as a guest.

CyberConnect2 is best known for its .hack// game franchise, for which Matsuyama served as director. The franchise inspired anime and manga adaptations. The company is also known for the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja series of fighting games, and also worked on the Asura's Wrath and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven games.

The bilingual convention will be held from August 3-5 at Palais des congrès de Montréal. Other Japanese guests include musicians fhána (Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid), Lia (Angel Beats!), Shiena Nishizawa (KanColle), and Maidreamin, and former Studio Ghibli production desk Hirokatsu Kihara. All musical guests will perform.
