C3 AFA Jakarta Hosts Eri Sasaki, Ayasa as Guests

Jakarta convention takes place on August 31-September 2

Anime Festival Asia announced on Tuesday and Wednesday that it will host singer and voice actress Sora Tokui as well as violinist Ayasa as guests for its C3 AFA Jakarta event. Ayasa will hold a performance during the event.

Tokui made her major voice acting debut voicing the character Himemiya in the Weiß Survive R anime in 2009. After that, she joined the singing group Milky Holmes, which also included voice actresses Suzuko Mimori, Izumi Kitta, and Mikoi Sasaki. While the group is breaking up next February, the voice actresses voiced the main characters and performed theme songs for the anime in the Tantei Opera Milky Holmes franchise from 2010 to 2016. She and fellow Milky Holmes member Suzuko Mimori voiced two of the nine main characters in the Love Live! School idol project franchise, with Tokui voicing Nico Yazawa.

Tokui launched her Makeruna!! Aku no Gundan! (Don't Lose!! Evil Corps!) manga series in Monthly Bushiroad magazine in 2013, and ended it on April 6. The manga inspired a television anime from director Takahiko Kyōgoku at Tatsunoko Production last year.

Ayasa began playing the violin when she was three years old, and as a child, performed as a soloist with the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of conductor Andre Anichanov. She graduated from the music program of Toho Girls' High School. She participated in the 15th and 19th Japan Classical Music Competition, winning fourth place in the latter. From 2011 to 2015, she was a violinist in the Sword of the Far East band. She uploads her performances on her YouTube channel, where she often performs in cosplay.

Ayasa has released five mini-albums and one live album. In anime, she is performing the theme piece "BEST GAMES!!" for the Tennis no Ōjisama BEST GAMES!! Tezuka vs Atobe OVA.

AFA Jakarta 2018 is scheduled to take place at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition from August 31 to September 2. The event was previously scheduled for August 3 to 5, but the convention announced in March that it was rescheduled. The convention will be held in conjunction with the GameStart Asia event.

Anime Festival Asia will also have a Singapore event from November 30 to December 2.
