MBS and TBS announced on Thursday that they are producing a live-action series adaptation of Mayaka Nakano's Bungaku Shojo (Literature Virgin) manga that will debut in the channels' Dramaism programming block this fall. Sumisu (live-action Inside Mari series) is directing the series. The manga is unrelated to Mizuki Nomura's Book Girl (Bungaku Shōjo) light novel series.
In addition, the production will host an audition on the live streaming service LINE LIVE for an appearance in the series.
The romance manga centers on Kanoko Tsukishiro, a novel editor who has never known love and has never been in a relationship. She is assigned as the editor for Kagaya, a novelist who cannot love.
Nakano is serializing the manga on the LINE Manga website, and Nippan IPS published the manga's third compiled book volume last December.
