Voltron: Legendary Defender Season 7 Trailer Streamed

Penultimate season premieres on August 10

DreamWorks Animation Television began streaming a trailer for the seventh season of Voltron: Legendary Defender on Friday.

The 13-episode seventh season will premiere on Netflix on August 10. The staff premiered the first episode, "A Little Adventure," at Comic-Con International: San Diego on Friday. Show runner Lauren Montgomery said at panel that Shiro's significant other Adam will appear in the season.

DreamWorks Animation Television describes the seventh season:

Following Lotor's defeat, the Paladins are finally able to set a course for Earth. After a long and perilous journey, they discover that their home planet is not how they left it.

The eighth season will also have 13 episodes and it will premiere before the end of the year. It will be the final season.

The show's 11-episode first season premiered on Netflix in June 2016. The 13-episode second season then premiered in January 2017, followed by the seven-episode third season on August 4, the six-episode fourth season on October 13, the six-episode fifth season on March 2, and the seven-episode sixth season on June 15.

Studio Mir (The Legend of Korra) animated the first season. Joaquim Dos Santos, Lauren Montgomery, and Tim Hedrick all worked together on Avatar the Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra.
