Anime NYC to Host 'That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime' Anime's Yasuhito Kikuchi, Ryoma Ebata

Kikuchi, Ebata to appear for on-stage events, signings at November convention

The Anime NYC convention announced on Tuesday that it will host the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime anime's director Yasuhito Kikuchi and character designer Ryōma Ebata at this year's event. They will participate in panels, screenings, and autograph signings for the anime at the event.

Kikuchi made his debut as a key animator for Gunbuster and as a director on the third Magical Girl Pretty Sammy original video anime episode. He has since directed Infinite Stratos, Macross Frontier, and Busou Shinki.

Ebata served as a character designer for Busou Shinki and Magical Warfare. He was also a key animator on Macross Frontier, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and Dimension W.

The That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime anime will premiere this fall, and will run for two cours or half a year. Crunchyroll will stream the series.

Anime NYC will be held at the Javits Center from November 16-18. Crunchyroll is the convention's title sponsor, with Aniplex, Funimation, Viz Media, GKids, Kinokuniya Bookstore, Kodansha Comics, New York Asian Film Festival, Sentai Filmworks, Subway Cinema, Sunrise, Tokyo Otaku Mode, Vertical, and Yen Press also listed as sponsors.

The convention will host the Anisong World Matsuri live concert series for the first time at this year's event. The event will host Japanese music artists Luna Haruna, TRUE, Konomi Suzuki, Morning Musume。'18, Shoko Nakagawa, Hironobu Kageyama, and Hiroshi Kitadani in performances on November 16 and 17 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York.

Voice actor Tohru Furuya will make his first appearance in New York City at this year's convention.
