Sonar Pocket, Special Favorite Music perform songs for September series

The official website for the live-action series adaptation of Mayaka Nakano's Bungaku Shojo (Literature Virgin) manga revealed the series' two lead cast members and the theme song on Tuesday. Aoi Morikawa (right in picture below) will play Kanoko Tsukishiro, while Yuu Shirota (left) will play Saku Kagaya.

Sonar Pocket will perform the series' theme song "Kimi no Namae" (Your Name.). Special Favorite Music will perform the series' opening song "Long Hello Goodbye."

The series will premiere on the Dramaism programming block of MBS on September 9 at night at 12:50 a.m. (effectively September 10 morning), and on TBS on September 11 at night at 1:28 a.m. (effectively September 12 morning). It will have eight episodes.

Sumisu (live-action Inside Mari series) is directing the series.

The romance manga centers on Kanoko Tsukishiro, a novel editor who has never known love and has never been in a relationship. She is assigned as the editor for Kagaya, a novelist who cannot love.

Nakano is serializing the manga on the LINE Manga website, and Nippan IPS published the manga's third compiled book volume last December.

The manga is unrelated to Mizuki Nomura's Book Girl (Bungaku Shōjo) light novel series.
