Asano published 2 chapters of manga in Hibana in 2015, 2016

Inio Asano launched a Yūsha-tachi (Heroes) manga mini-series in Shogakukan's Manga ONE app on Wednesday. The app will first publish the two chapters of the manga that already appeared in Shogakukan's Hibana magazine, and will afterward publish a new chapter weekly until the manga ends. Asano noted on Twitter that the run will include one volume's worth of manga. The manga was previously announced as moving to Manga ONE after Hibana ceased publication last year.

The manga shows heroes of different shapes and sizes overcoming hatred, sorrow, and sadness to confront the dark lord that is driving the world into darkness.

Asano published the first chapter of the manga in 2015, and a second chapter in 2016.

Viz Media has published Asano's previous series Solanin, What a wonderful world!, and Goodnight Punpun. Fantagraphics Books published Asano's horror manga Nijigahara Holograph in 2014, and Vertical Comics published Asano's A Girl on the Shore manga in 2016.

Viz Media licensed his Dead Dead Demon's Dededededestruction manga, and shipped the first volume on April 17. The manga is currently on hiatus in Japan, and will return this summer.
