Game launches August 30 in Japan, August 31 in Americas, Europe, Southeast Asia

Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe began streaming a trailer for its Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker game on Monday. The video previews the game's "barrier battles," in which players split up into offense and defensive teams to defeat and protect a boss, respectively.

The game will launch in Japan for PlayStation 4 on August 30. The game will then launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in the Americas, Europe, and Southeast Asia on August 31.

Game Jikkyousha Wakuwaku Band will perform the game's theme song "Signal."

The Uzumaki Edition of the game for PS4 or Xbox One, which will be available in Europe and Southeast Asia, will include a season pass and figures of Naruto and Boruto. The season pass will include nine DLC packs and the "Great Sages of the Mount Myouboku" accessory. People who pre-order the game will receive the “Naruto 7th Hokage” costume and early access to the Master character Pain.

Bandai Namco Entertainment America describes the game:

Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is a high-speed four vs. four multiplayer title that encourages cooperative play through the use of character-specific roles. Characters are split up into four roles: Attack, Ranged, Defense, and Heal. Teams that utilize these four types of characters will be formidable opponents on the battlefield.

Soleil, a subsidiary of Valhalla Game Studios, is developing the game. Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine describes the game as an "acrobatic ninja battle" game. The game will have an online component, and players can form four-person cells in multiplayer to fight against another four-person cell for a total of eight players.
