Screens in Tokyo, Osaka to show video on August 29

The official website for the Uta Macross Sumaho De Culture rhythm smartphone game began streaming a video on Wednesday that reveals that Akihabara's UDX Vision and Osaka's Tombori Station screens will show a music video featuring the new single by Macross Frontier heroines Sheryl Nome and Ranka Lee on August 29 at 7:00 p.m.

In addition, from Wednesday, August 22, to August 29, Akihabara's UDX Vision and Onoden DX; Shinjuku's Alta Vision; Shibuya's 109 Forum, Q'S EYE, DHC Channelk, and Shibuya Television 2; and Osaka's Tombori Station, Nanba Ebisu Vision, Shinsaibashi OPA, and Hankyu Bigman screens will show teaser videos before the August 29 reveal.

The characters' new single "Good job!" is slated for release on September 26, and will be the idols' first new release in seven years. The single will also include a solo track by Sheryl featuring May'n (the character's singing voice) titled "Gooorgeous" (lit.: GO~~jus). The second track was featured in a music video starring Sheryl in Akihabara in March.

Additionally, a third track titled "Ranka to Brand New Peach" is also included on the single. The song is completely new and is a retro pop techno song by Ranka's singer Megumi Nakajima. Yoko Kanno produced and composed all three songs.

The single celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Macross Frontier anime.

The Macross Frontier television anime aired in 2008 following the 25th anniversary of the Macross franchise. The Macross Frontier: Itsuwari no Utahime film premiered in 2009 as an alternate retelling, and was followed by the Macross Frontier: Sayonara no Tsubasa sequel film in 2011.
