Prints available for sale through Kickstarter campaign

The Baltimore Japan Art Festival (BJAF) is partnering with Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) to host illustrator Yusuke Nakamura at this year's event. Nakamura will attend a screening of the anime film The Night is Short, Walk on Girl on Friday, September 28 and hold a Q&A session. He will also give a lecture on illustration on Saturday, September 29.

An exhibition of Nakamura's art will be on display at the MICA Rosenberg Gallery from September 12 to October 10. As part of its Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign, BJAF is offering some of the prints from the exhibit for sale to backers. The prints will not include a frame, and can be shipped anywhere in the world.

Nakamura drew the cover art for Tomihiko Morimi's The Tatami Galaxy and The Night is Short, Walk on Girl novels. He also drew the cover art for a number of Asian Kung-Fu Generation's CDs, as well as the cover for Tokuya Higashigawa's Solve the Mystery after the Dinner novel. He is also a musician and a member of the band SAILS.

BJAF will take place on September 28-29 at the Station North Arts District in Baltimore, Maryland. All events except the screening of The Night is Short, Walk on Girl will be free to attend, but guests are encouraged to RSVP due to limited seating.
