New theme songs to premiere in October

This year's 40th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Monday that Brian the Sun and rock band Hitorie will perform the new theme songs for the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime starting in October.

Brian the Sun (March comes in like a lion, My Hero Academia, Sweetness & Lightning) will perform the opening theme song "Lonely Go!," and Hitorie (Divine Gate) will perform the ending theme song "Polaris." Qyoto are performing the current opening theme song "It's all in the game," and Bird Bear Hare and Fish are performing the current ending theme song "Raika."

The Boruto: Naruto Next Generations television anime series premiered in Japan on TV Tokyo in April 2017, and originally aired on Wednesdays at 5:55 p.m. The anime moved to its Thursdays at 7:25 p.m. timeslot in May. The anime will move again to a new timeslot on Sundays at 5:30 p.m. starting on October 7.

Viz Media is simulcasting the series on Hulu as it airs in Japan, and Crunchyroll is also streaming the anime. The anime will begin airing on Adult Swim's Toonami block on September 29.

The anime is based on Ukyō Kodachi and Mikie Ikemoto's Boruto sequel manga, which launched in Weekly Shonen Jump in May 2016.
