Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain Game Heads West in 2019

D3 Publisher Inc. revealed on Friday that it will release the Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain PlayStation 4 game in the West in 2019. The staff will demo the game to media at Tokyo Game Show 2018, which will be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba from September 20-23.
D3 Publisher describes the game:
The EDF series moves away from its traditional series and into new territory with this new project. Developed by YUKE'S, with a theme song by Takashi Niigaki and creatures designed by Ryu Oyama for an EDF game that has never been seen before. Welcome to Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain. Set on planet Earth devastated by war, this new adventure joins the EDF as they continue to battle to save the world.
The game is also slated for 2019 in Japan, delayed from its original release window of 2018.
D3 Publisher will also share the Earth Defense Force 5 PlayStation 4 game with media at Tokyo Game Show 2018. The game launched in Japan on December 7. D3 Publisher last announced a fall 2018 release window for the game, but the PlayStation Store is listing a December 31 release date, which may be a placeholder.
