Japan Studio Reveals Everybody's Golf VR Game for 2019 Release

posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Game slated for launch in Japan, also announced in Europe

Sony Interactive Entertainment announced during the "PlayStation LineUp Tour" presentation on Monday that Clap Hanz and Japan Studio are developing a new PlayStation VR game titled Minna no Golf VR . The game is slated to launch in Japan in 2019. The European PlayStation blog also announced the game under the title Everybody's Golf VR, but has not announced a release window.

The developers are aiming to make the game accessible to golf beginners as well as experts. Players will have a 360-degree view of their surroundings, and will be able to take the course geography and direction of the wind into account when golfing. The game interacts with the PlayStation Move motion controller.

A character named Riko will act as the player's caddy and give advice.

The Minna no Golf (lit. Everybody's Golf) franchise was previously known in the West as Hot Shots Golf, but Sony released the New Minna no Golf PlayStation 4 game under the title Everybody's Golf last August.
