Dynamic Chord, Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens Ch. 2 Manga End in October

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Both manga launched in G Fantasy last year

The October issue of Square Enix's G Fantasy magazine revealed on Tuesday that Shiho Inaba's DYNAMIC CHORD manga and Chiaki Nagaoka's Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens Dai 2-Maku manga will end in the magazine's next issue on October 18.

Inaba's DYNAMIC CHORD manga adapts last year's anime. The anime follows the musical careers and personal lives of several bands under the "Dynamic Chord" agency and music label. The show's in-universe bands are progressive rock band rêve parfait, veteran rock band KYOHSO, newcomer rock band Liar-S, and global performers apple-polisher.

Inaba launched the manga in G Fantasy last November. Square Enix published the manga's first compiled book volume on June 27.

The anime premiered last October. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime, and HIDIVE streamed the series as it aired in Japan.

Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens Dai 2-Maku (Chapter 2) is the second manga adaptation of Chiaki Kisaki and illustrator Hako Ichiiro's Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens (Hakata Pork Bones Ramens) light novel series. The story of the novels takes place in Fukuoka. At first glance, the city seems like a peaceful one, but under the surface, crime is running rampant. The city's Hakata ward is home to the professionals of the underworld: professional killers, detectives, informants, professional revenge seekers, those skilled in torture, and more. And according to urban legend, even a "killer of professional killers" exists in the city. When stories of the men in the underworld are told, a "professional killer murderer" appears.

Nagaoka launched the manga in G Fantasy in August 2017. Square Enix published the manga's first compiled book volume on January 27.

Kisara Akino launched the first manga adaptation in G Fantasy magazine in July 2016, and ended it in May 2017. Square Enix published the manga's second and final compiled volume in July 2017.

The novel series won the first prize for the 20th Dengeki Novel Awards. Kisaki and Ichiiro launched the novel series in 2014. Kadokawa published the eighth novel last December, and published the "Extra Games" volume on March 23. The novel series also has a collaboration novel with Ryohgo Narita's Durarara!! novel series. The novels received a television anime adaptation that premiered on January 12. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan, and Funimation streamed an English dub for the anime.
