French Bread battle planner Kamone Serizawa posted a picture on Twitter on Friday from a stage presentation at Tokyo Game Show where Arc System Works announced that it will release Blazblue: CentralFiction Special Edition for the Nintendo Switch. Arc System Works in Japan has not yet confirmed the news online or revealed any more details about the title.
Arc System Works America posted on Twitter on Friday regarding the announcement, "More info on #BlazBlue Central Fiction will be coming your way in the future."
Arc System Works previously announced in January last year that it would bring the Blazblue series to the Switch, but did not specify at the time if the release would be a new title, or a port of an already-existing title.
Blazblue: CentralFiction originally debuted in Japanese arcades in November 2015, and the game launched in Japan for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in October 2016. Aksys Games released the game in North America in November 2016.
Arc System Works released the Blazblue Cross Tag Battle game for the PS4, Switch, and PC in Japan and Asia on May 31, and in North America on June 5. PQube released the game in Europe on June 22. The fighting game is a a crossover between Arc System Works' BlazBlue and Persona 4 Arena fighting games, French Bread's Under Night In-Birth game, and Rooster Teeth's RWBY franchise.
