HIDIVE announced on Friday that it will stream the Animax's original television anime The Girl in Twilight (Akanesasu Shōjo) in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, and other select territories beginning on October 1 at 7:30 EDT.

Sentai Filmworks licensed the series and describes the story:

Constantly on the lookout for her next big adventure, the cheerful and kind Asuka Tsuchimiya is always ready to try new things with her high school friends from the Crystal Radio Club. One day, the group performs a ritual from an urban myth just for fun. However, several conditions had fallen into place to put the ritual in motion, opening the door to a new world of gold and jet black. In this world, Asuka finds a different version of herself and soon finds out that some doors were never meant to be opened.

The anime will premiere in Japan on Animax on October 1 at 7:30 p.m., before airing later that evening on Tokyo MX and Yomiuri TV. The anime will also stream on Animax on PlayStation, Niconico Channel, d Anime Store, and U-NEXT.

The anime's smartphone game tie-in will launch in October for iOS and Android devices, as well as for PCs (through browsers via DMM Games). The game will have an original main character named Nagi (voiced by Maaya Sakamoto). The game's official website also announced four additional cast members on Friday:
