The November issue of Shueisha's Cookie magazine revealed on Wednesday that Ryo Ikuemi will launch a new manga in the magazine in spring 2019. The issue also published a one-shot by Ikuemi titled "Rose Rosy Roseful Bad" (pictured at right). The 45-page one-shot centers on a manga creator in her 40s who is worried.
Ikuemi most recently ended her Taiyō ga Miteiru (Kamoshirenai Kara) manga on May 26. She launched the series in Cookie in March 2014. Shueisha published the manga's eighth and final volume on July 25.
Ikuemi's Pops manga inspired an original video anime in 1993, her Kiyoku Yawaku manga inspired a live-action film adaptation in 2013, and her Anata no Koto wa Sorehodo inspired a love-action television series in 2017. Most recently, Ikuemi's Principal manga inspired a live-action film that opened in Japan on March 3.
