Release the Spyce Anime's English-Subtitled Trailer Reveals October 6 Premiere on HIDIVE

Series to stream in U.S., Canada, U.K, Ireland, Latin America

HIDIVE announced on Monday that it will begin streaming the Release the Spyce anime on October 6 at 2:38 p.m. EDT for members in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Latin America, and other select territories. Sentai Filmworks streamed an English-subtitled promotional video.

Sentai Filmworks has also licensed the series for home video.

The anime will premiere in Japan on MBS on October 6 at 26:38 (effectively October 7 at 2:38 a.m.). The series will then debut on Tokyo MX on October 7 at 11:30 p.m. and on BS11 at 25:00 (effectively October 8 at 1:00 a.m.).

Sentai Filmworks describes the story:

To everyone around her, Momo lives a quiet life of solitude: going to school and keeping to herself. To the members of the private intelligence agency Tsukikage, she is their newest recruit, learning to hone her skills to help fight against a global crime organization. Under the guidance of senior member Yuki, Momo undergoes a series of dangerous, deadly and diabolical training scenarios and missions. With each victory, Momo's confidence in her skills grows but it'll take more than that to help keep not just her home but the world safe.

The project is a collaboration between Yuruyuri manga creator Namori as original character designer and Yuki Yuna Is a Hero creator Takahiro for the original concept and series composition. The anime marks Akira Sato's directorial debut at Lay-duce. Satoshi Ishino is adapting Namori's characters for animation. SORASAKI.F is credited for the original work.

Yukari Anzai, Manami Numakura, Aya Suzaki, Akane Fujita, Aya Uchida, and Yuri Noguchi will perform the opening theme song "Supatto! Spy & Spice" and the ending theme song "Hide & Seek" as their respective characters, under the group name Tsukikage.
