GCrest Reveals Hoshinari Echoes Smartphone Game With Anime Promo Video

"Raising simulation" game slated for spring 2019

Game developer GCREST announced on Thursday that it is developing a new "raising simulation" smartphone game titled Hoshinari Echoes (Starcry Echoes) that is slated for a spring 2019 release on iOS and Android devices. GCREST is streaming an anime promotional video for the game.

The game's story begins when seven shooting stars fall to Earth. The event gives rise to seven "Main Towers," which in time give rise to their own "Fragment Towers." These towers begin to threaten society and life itself. However, after countless attempts, humanity has finally developed a weapon against the towers: the development of "Resonators," specially-trained individuals who wield the power of "Scepter." The player takes on the role as a teacher in a training institution for Resonators, picking out the residents of the Spica Dormitory for their special class, and overseeing the growth and development.

GCREST's 100 Sleeping Princes and the Kingdom of Dreams game also inspired a 2017 net animation, and a television anime that aired from July to September.
